Needless to say, I took that as a huge compliment.
Also, he said:

Nah, not too dark. Darkness in opinion is needed in dark times. keep going, as will I.

Too often ignores is the importance of older men as mentors to the young. Or more than ignored, actively discouraged.
It’s only now that I’ve come to realise how important male role models are to my development, so from a purely selfish context, thank you for posting your philosophies into the public sphere. Few young guns may find your words but Im sure, like me, those few appreciate it.
